Agr. Mar\u00eda Fernanda Gonz\u00e1lez Sanjuan, quien destac\u00f3 la evoluci\u00f3n que tuvo la productividad del ma\u00edz en Argentina en los \u00faltimos 20 a\u00f1os en los cuales casi se triplic\u00f3, por razones relacionadas con la mejora en la gen\u00e9tica de semillas, la siembra directa y los cambios en el manejo del cultivo. \u201cEl ma\u00edz empez\u00f3 a ser un cultivo vers\u00e1til: ahora podemos sembrar ma\u00edz temprano, tard\u00edo, de segunda y ma\u00edz para silo, con gran estabilidad de rinde\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"460\" height=\"259\" src=\"http:\/\/infoecos.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/fertilizar3-460x259.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-85248\" srcset=\"https:\/\/infoecos.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/fertilizar3-460x259.jpg 460w, https:\/\/infoecos.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/fertilizar3.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, en estas dos d\u00e9cadas se consolid\u00f3 la fertilizaci\u00f3n, logr\u00e1ndose crecimientos paulatinos y sostenidos inicialmente y m\u00e1s significativos en los \u00faltimos 5 a\u00f1os (2015 a 2020). El \u00e1rea fertilizada paso del 77% a 86% y las dosis de uso promedio de 186 a 242 kg de fertilizante por hect\u00e1rea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA pesar de este aumento en el uso de fertilizantes, en reposici\u00f3n de los principales nutrientes (Nitr\u00f3geno, F\u00f3sforo, y Azufre) todav\u00eda estamos en un 57%. Es decir que a\u00fan tenemos una deuda pendiente con el suelo que aporta el 43% de los nutrientes que requiere el ma\u00edz. Esta dependencia se visibiliza con las brechas de rendimientos que tenemos para mejorar y porque se deteriora la fertilidad del recurso natural\u201d, advirti\u00f3 Gonz\u00e1lez Sanjuan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/infoecos.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/fertilizar4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-85249\" width=\"412\" height=\"233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/infoecos.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/fertilizar4.jpg 600w, https:\/\/infoecos.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/fertilizar4-460x261.jpg 460w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 412px) 100vw, 412px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Luego, el presidente de Fertilizar AC, Ing. Agr. Francisco Llamb\u00edas, anticip\u00f3 que para el ma\u00edz \u201ces un a\u00f1o fant\u00e1stico respecto de la rentabilidad, dado por una sostenida demanda del cereal que impulsa los precios hacia arriba\u201d. En este orden, coment\u00f3 que el ma\u00edz tiene con 586 d\u00f3lares por hect\u00e1rea el mejor margen bruto comparado con la soja (467 USD\/ha) y el esquema trigo-soja (331 USD\/ha); adem\u00e1s \u201ceste margen del ma\u00edz es 70% mejor que el de agosto del a\u00f1o pasado\u201d, a pesar de los incrementos que hubo en costos de insumos de implantaci\u00f3n y de impuestos. El ma\u00edz se presenta como el cultivo protagonista de todas las rotaciones, teniendo presente que su rol va a estar determinado por la condici\u00f3n h\u00eddrica de los suelos en los momentos de
